Marc Burgess (Marc Burgess Productions)
_____________________________________________________________________________
ABOUT
Marc Burgess
Marc first became
interested in being a DJ while working as a lifeguard at a resort in
the Catskill Mountains of NY. During the summer months the Activity
Director rented a PA system and played music at the outdoor pool and
Marc got hooked on seeing people having a good time. As a member of
the Activity Staff, Marc also had the responsibility of coordinating
and emceeing all kinds of games and activities such as bingo, lip
sync contests, etc.
After college, Marc’s job had him
doing promotional work with a nightclub where he became friends with the house
DJ and hung out in the booth on a regular basis. This only further cemented the
idea in his head that whatever career he chose, he wanted it to be fun.
In 1994 Marc began his career as a
professional DJ. He got his start working for the largest multi-op DJ Company in
Florida working part time on the weekends. He quickly worked his way into a
sales position in the company, then into management. Later Marc moved to Central
Florida to start a new office from the ground up. He then had the opportunity to
join the largest Wedding Services Company in the nation and took his small 2 DJ
office and grew it to over 11 well trained DJ’s in less than 18 months
shattering any goals set by upper management.
In 2002, Marc took the plunge and
decided to “go independent” and opened his own company with a focus on the
higher end client rather than volume. His new company currently has 6 DJs and is
looking forward to its future growth. Marc is also the Senior Instructor for
the FAME DJ School as
well as one of the Vice Presidents for the
National Association
of Mobile Entertainers and serves on their Advisory Council. In addition,
Marc is the Founder and President of the Florida Entertainers Alliance.

Robb Smith (Robb Smith Productions)
_____________________________________________________________________________
ABOUT
Robb Smith
Robb D. Smith, an experienced Mobile Disc Jockey/Entertainer in Central Florida
for almost twenty years, began his career as a $40 a job part time DJ with a
large multi-system company in the Tampa Bay area in 1987. He quickly moved up
the ranks from sales, to manager, to Vice President of Operations, and then
purchased the company in 1994 for over three hundred thousand dollars.
With his staff's help and
assistance, the company grew to be one of the nations largest, and expanded to
several locations in Florida. The DJ training he employed in his successful
business, he expanded upon in 1997 and offered it to anyone interested in
improving their skills. He sold his business in 1998, but retirement did not
suit him. He began attending conferences and symposiums and began expanding the
Florida Academy of Mobile Entertainment
F.A.M.E. to more
prominent national level.
A prominent speaker at national DJ
conventions in both Las Vegas, Atlantic City and the WEDJ Cruise his expertise
comes from many years of experience ranging from running a large multi system of
36 units to being a single operator, and now a lucrative 10 DJ operation
currently in Tampa.
F.A.M.E. has grown because of the contributions from DJ's all over the U.S.,
Robb takes very little credit for it's success.
Appointed Education Director for the
National Association of Mobile Entertainers
N.A.M.E. in 2002,
contributing writer published in industry magazines, an expert in DJ sales
training and moderator at conventions are just a few of Robb's recent
accomplishments.
